Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 11 August 2026
Welcome to Sable Blue. These Terms & Conditions apply when you browse our website, purchase products from us or engage Sable Blue to create a personalised or bespoke product.
By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with our Refund & Returns Policy, Privacy Policy and any additional terms provided in a quotation or order confirmation.
1. About Sable Blue
Sable Blue designs and manufactures metal wall art, signage, personalised products and bespoke metal creations in South Africa.
Business name: Sable Blue
Email: hello@sableblue.com
Telephone: 082 575 3817
Address: 12 Blumberg Road, Industria West, Johannesburg, South Africa
Legal entity: [INSERT REGISTERED COMPANY / ENTITY NAME]
Registration number: [INSERT REGISTRATION NUMBER]
You should add those final two details before publishing. ECTA specifically requires an online supplier's full name/legal status and, for a legal person, registration details to be available to customers.
2. Products & Designs
We make every reasonable effort to display our products accurately.
Because products are manufactured from real materials and may be powder coated, fabricated or finished individually, minor differences in colour, texture, surface finish or appearance may occur.
Product photographs, lifestyle images and digital mock-ups are intended to provide a reasonable representation of the finished product. Screen settings, lighting and surroundings may affect how colours and finishes appear.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.
The full amount payable, including applicable delivery charges, taxes and other charges, will be shown before you complete your order.
Payment must be successfully completed before an online order is accepted for production unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For bespoke projects, different payment arrangements or deposits may be specified in your quotation.
4. Orders
Submitting an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where, for example:
-
a product is unavailable;
-
incorrect pricing or product information was displayed;
-
payment cannot be verified;
-
we are unable to manufacture the requested custom product; or
-
the requested design would infringe another person's rights or would otherwise be unlawful.
If we cancel an order after receiving payment, the amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded.
5. Custom & Personalised Orders
We love creating things that are unique.
Custom orders may begin with a photograph, drawing, logo, name, dimensions, concept or other information supplied by you.
Before manufacturing certain custom products, we may send you a digital proof or design for approval.
Please check all spelling, names, dimensions, layout and design details carefully before approving your design.
Once you approve a design and production begins, changes may no longer be possible. Where changes are still possible, additional design or manufacturing costs may apply.
Custom or clearly personalised goods are generally excluded from ECTA's seven-day change-of-mind cooling-off provision, although this does not remove a customer's rights in relation to defective or incorrectly supplied goods.
6. Images, Logos & Content You Provide
You remain responsible for photographs, logos, artwork, wording and other material you submit to us.
By supplying material to Sable Blue, you confirm that you either own the relevant rights or have permission to use it for the requested product.
You give Sable Blue permission to use that material as reasonably necessary to design, manufacture and fulfil your order.
Customer-supplied photographs, logos or artwork will not automatically be used in our advertising, website or social media without separate permission.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Sable Blue may retain its rights in original design work, manufacturing drawings and production files created by us as part of developing the product, subject to any rights you hold in the original content supplied by you.
7. Design Adjustments for Manufacturing
Laser cutting places practical limitations on certain designs.
When converting a photograph, logo, illustration or concept into metal, we may need to simplify details, introduce connecting sections, adjust spacing or modify certain elements to make the product suitable for manufacture and structurally sound.
Where a design requires customer approval, these changes will be reflected in the design submitted for approval before production.
8. Manufacturing & Lead Times
Estimated manufacturing and delivery times are estimates unless we expressly agree to a guaranteed date.
Custom products may take longer than standard items because they require design, approval and manufacturing.
We will make reasonable efforts to fulfil your order within the stated timeframe and will contact you if there is a significant delay.
ECTA generally requires electronic orders to be executed within 30 days unless the supplier and customer have agreed to another period.
9. Delivery
Delivery charges and available delivery options will be shown at checkout or included in your quotation.
Please ensure that the delivery address and contact information you provide are correct.
If a parcel appears visibly damaged when delivered, please photograph the packaging and product and contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Please refer to our Shipping Policy for further information.
10. Returns, Refunds & Defective Products
Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy and applicable South African consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights in respect of defective, unsafe or incorrectly supplied products.
Under section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, qualifying goods that fail to meet the statutory quality standards may be returned within six months, with the consumer having specified rights to repair, replacement or refund.
11. Installation & Use
Where a product requires wall mounting or installation, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that:
-
the mounting surface is suitable;
-
appropriate fixings are used;
-
electrical, plumbing or other concealed services are considered before drilling; and
-
installation is performed safely and appropriately.
Where Sable Blue supplies specific mounting or safety instructions, those instructions should be followed.
Any limitation of liability in consumer-facing terms must comply with the CPA, and clauses that limit supplier liability or transfer risk need to be brought conspicuously to the consumer's attention.
12. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the Sable Blue name, logo, website content, original product designs, graphics and other original content created by Sable Blue may not be copied, reproduced, manufactured, commercially exploited or distributed without our permission.
This does not give Sable Blue ownership of photographs, trademarks, logos or other intellectual property supplied to us by customers or third parties.
13. Website Use
You may use this website for lawful personal and commercial purchasing purposes.
You may not deliberately:
-
interfere with the operation or security of the website;
-
attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems;
-
copy or commercially exploit website content without permission; or
-
use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
14. Personal Information
We collect and process personal information necessary to operate our website, communicate with customers, fulfil orders and provide our services.
Our handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
POPIA regulates the processing of personal information by private and public bodies in South Africa.
15. Promotions & Discount Codes
Promotional offers and discount codes may be subject to additional conditions.
Unless stated otherwise, promotions:
-
cannot be exchanged for cash;
-
cannot necessarily be combined with another promotion; and
-
apply only during the advertised promotional period.
We reserve the right to correct obvious promotional or pricing errors.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version applicable to your purchase will generally be the version available when your order was placed.
17. South African Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Nothing contained in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any right that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, or other applicable South African legislation.
